    Kinser built a career focused on caring for others. She served as an Ophthalmic Technician at Carolina Eye Associates, helping patients with their vision health. Her medical skills were further honed at Northeastern Technical College, where she studied to become a Phlebotomist, a role she fulfilled at McLeod Health. Her nurturing nature was also evident in her earlier work as a Child Care Attendant at Kiddielane Daycare.

    Her untimely death, occurring merely five days after she posted a video on TikTok, has sent waves of shock and sorrow through her hometown. The specific circumstances surrounding her passing have not been publicly detailed, compounding the grief for those who knew her.

     

    Chasity Kinser is remembered as a compassionate individual who dedicated her professional life to the service of her community, from its youngest children to its patients in need of medical care. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A proud bisexual, feminist author, activist, and sex educator, Hutchins was a true queer icon whose work fundamentally shaped modern bisexual visibility and advocacy.

    Dr. Hutchins is a foundational figure in the bisexual rights movement. She rose to prominence as the co-editor of the landmark 1991 anthology, *Bi Any Other Name: Bisexual People Speak Out*. This seminal work gave a powerful voice to the bisexual community and remains a cornerstone of bisexual literature.

    Born on May 2, 1948, Hutchins has dedicated her life to education and advocacy. She currently teaches Women’s Studies, LGBT Studies, and sexuality courses at colleges in the Washington, D.C. area. As a certified sexological bodyworker, her work spans academia, grassroots activism, and hands-on sex education.

    Beyond her writing, Hutchins was a dedicated educator, teaching Women’s Studies, LGBT Studies, and human sexuality at colleges in the Washington, D.C. area. Her multifaceted work as an activist and sexologist, including training as a Sexological Bodyworker, cemented her legacy as a tireless champion for sexual freedom and understanding. Her passing marks the end of an era, but her pioneering spirit and immense contributions will continue to inspire generations to come. Rather than mourning a loss, we celebrate the ongoing contributions of this queer icon. Loraine Hutchins continues to inspire generations as a proud bisexual activist, whose work has indelibly shaped our understanding of sexuality and identity.
